About Us

There are many restaurants that lay claim to being a Glasgow institution. La Fiorentina can back up that claim with a record of culinary excellence stretching back to the restaurant’s establishment in 1989. Back then La Fiorentina arrived on the Glasgow restaurant scene with a fanfare, quickly winning awards and establishing a reputation that has carried through to the current day.

Our approach to food is simple. Keep it fresh and seasonal, with an emphasis on the sympathetic blending of great Scottish ingredients to produce authentic Tuscan specialities. We pride ourselves on serving the type of food you’d find in the trattorias of Northern Italy right here in the heart of Glasgow.

Our food is spectacular and it’s matched by the beauty of of our location. La Fiorentina occupies the ground floor of the landmark Angel building at Paisley Rd Toll. Famous throughout the city as Ogg Brothers Drapery Warehouse it has been home to the sights and smells of Tuscany since 1989. Look up and you’ll see a gilded angel known as “Commerce and Industry” reaching into the sky. The sculpture was commissioned as part of the original building in 1889 and was probably the work of James Alexander Ewing.

Great Italian food with quick and friendly service in a historic location. That’s La Fiorentina.
